Hemsedal
During the winter Hemsedal is one of Scandinavia's largest winter destinations. A stabile inland climate ensures great winter experiences. Out of down hill skiing this area offers several possibilities for backcountry skiing. Enjoy fresh powdersnow in the untouched mountains of Hemsedal. The winter season last from November till May. There are no mountain lodges in this area, most of the visitors stay in private cabins. It is also possible to rent an appartment or cabin.

Transport
The journey takes about 3 1/2 hours from Oslo.
- By bus from Oslo to Hemsedal: www.nbe.no
- By car: Follow the road, E18, direction Drammen, then direction Hønefoss, follow the signs to Hemsedal.
