Hiking through Rondane
To walk through the Naitonal Park offer a wide varity of nature. The northern part consist of wide plateaus and soft mountains, in the contrary there are several of high peaks in the south. Rondane is special nice in the autumn because of all the colours.
Geography
The hikingtrip starts from Hjerkinn in the north and ends up in Mysuseter in the south. The route leads through Rondane Nationalpark, which is situated in the county Oppland.
How to get there
To Hjerkinn: From Oslo take the bus, Dovreekspressen with Norway Bussekspress or train (NSB) to Hjerkinn.
Return from Mysuseter: Bus down to Otta (only in summer, part of the winter) or taxi (1/2 hour), www.ottadalen.no or call +47 177. From Otta bus or train to Oslo.

Tour description
Hjerkinn - Grimsdalshytta (~5 h. + break)
It is possible to start directly walking from the train station. Close to Hjerkinn Fjellstue (mountainhotel) the marked track direction Grimsdalshytta starts. The route goes through soft landscape, mountain plateau and ends up in the valley, Grimsdalen. The cabin is a old timerhouse with gras on the roof. It is staffed during the summer and has self-service in the winter. Open the hole winter.
Grimsdalshytta - Dørålseter (~6 h. + break)
It is much up and down on this route. Firts part leads up the mountain and then down to a beautiful valley (perfect for tenting). Then it continues up again through the known, Dørålsglupen. This is a narrow and long valley, which consist of rocks. At the end of the valley it is a spectacular view over the high peaks in southern part of Rondane. Dørålseter consist of three different huts: Midtre,- and Nedre Dørålseter and Dørålseter Turisthytte, which only are staffed during the summer, in the winter time Øvre Dørålseter offers self-service. Open the hole winter.
Dørålseter - Rondvassbu (~5 h. + break)
This route goes mostly in the valley and it pass many of the spectacular peaks. Around the small lakes, Bergedalstjørnin is it nice to camp. In the summer it is possible to get a ride with the boat from the end of Rondevannet, directly to Rondvassbu. The other route climb about 500 m, before it descends to the cabin. Rondvassbu is a nice cabin with atmosphere in beautiful surroundings. Staffed during summer and self-service during winter. Open the hole winter.
Rondvassbu - Mysuseter (~3 h.)
The first part is flat and it is possible to walk on the road or along the river. It is recommended to follow the river direction Mysuseter. Because it grows bigger further down and ends up in a big waterfall. From the end of the river follow the road down to the village, Mysuseter.
