TOUR DESCRIPTION

This is a nice tour with regularly climbing to the peak and with a nice downhill skiing. The landscape is quite open and surrounded with the fascinating alps. The altitude distance to climb to the top is about 1'700 meters from La Gouille.

We started from the parking (~1'700 m) and walked with ski through the charming village with only timber-chalets. The first part was a nice farmer landscape with fields and trees. We passed the Lac Bleu and Cabane des Aig. Rouges. The last part we went over the "Glacier de Vouasson". After about four hours climbing we reached Pointe de Vouasson (3'489 m) with skies. Fortunately the weather got better so we could enjoy the fantastic view.

Because of the unstable weather we took the same route back. The down hill skiing was really great.

We didn't find it necessary to use any special climbing- or glacier equipment to reach this peak. The climbing was quite soft and the glacier had much snow at this time of the year (but of course we had the necessary emergency equipment in our backpacks).
