TOUR DESCRIPTION
This is a nice and challenging tour. It is a quite steep climbing to the top. From the starting point the altitude distance to the peak is about 1'800 m.
In the beginning we followed the street to the end of the valley. It was not much snow, so we had to go zigzag between stones and bushes. It was a even climbing up to the top, but the hill before the last pass was about 30° steep. We could keep the skies on up to the peak. From the Point des Grands (3'110 m) it was a impressing view over Chamonix and Mont Blanc.
The reason why we gave this tour dice four, was the bad snow-conditions and the landscape. The valleys were quite narrow and the view was not so wide.
We didn't find it necessary to use any special climbing- or glacier equipment to reach this peak. The climbing was quite soft and the glacier had much snow at this time of the year (but of course we had the necessary emergency equipment in our rucksacks).
