Rogneux lies in the county Valais, south-east of Verbier in Lourtier - Val de Bagnes.
HOW TO GET THERE
By car: From Martigny direction Le Chable to Lourtier. After Lourtier there is a parking where the route starts.

TOUR DESCRIPTION
This is a nice tour whish is also possible to do in one day.
From the parking to the peak the altitude distance is about 1'800 meters. We started in the afternoon and reached the Cabane Brunet after about two hours climbing. It is a nice hut and we enjoyed a delicious dinner.
The climbing up to the peak was even, but some parts at the end were quite steep. After about 3-4 hours we reached Rogneux (3'010 m). We went down at the north-west side of the top, this slope is more than 30° steep. It is also possible to return the same track whish leads up to the top.
We didn't find it necessary to use any special climbing- or glacier equipment to reach this peak. The climbing was quite easy (but of course we had the necessary emergency equipment in our backpacks).
