Schesaplana lies in the county Graubünden. Close to the Austrian border and not far away from Liechtenstein.HOW TO GET THERE
By car: From Landquart direction Davos. The shortest way is to drive to Schiers, continue to Fanas and from there the cableway up to Berg.
It is also possible to reach Fanas by public transport (train and buss).

This is a various tour with vigorous nature, steep mountains and beautiful, open valleys. It is an excellent weekend-tour.
We started Friday evening with the cableway to Berg. From there it was about 3,5 - 4 km walking to Schesaplana Hut. Next morning we started at 6 o'clock in beautiful sunrise. From the hut to the peak it is approximately 1'000 m of climbing in a distance of about 2,5 km. Quite steep, some climbing but not necessary with any special equipment. Not a route for people with bad knees or high sickness! At Schesaplana (2'964 m) we had an impressive view over the Alps and the turquoise colored Lünersee. It was quite steep down to Totalp Hut.
The next day we returned back over the pass, Gamsluggen. It was quite steep and we had to watch our steps. We continued down to Golrosa, over Fadurer Fürggli, Obersäss, Mittelsäss and down to the cableway in Berg.
